Terms and Conditions

Paula Donohoe Hair kindly asks that you read the following terms and conditions before sending an enquiry. It is the responsibility of the client who books to understand, agree and be responsible for all booking conditions, including payments being made by specific dates.

Bookings and payment

• The booking fee is required to secure the date. This is non-refundable & non-transferable. The booking fee covers administration costs and should be seen as part of Paula’s commitment to you and your date. Due to the nature of Paula’s business, it is highly unlikely that she will be able to find a replacement for your date if you need to cancel or reschedule. The booking fee will be deducted from the total cost of your booking.
• Booking fees paid during COVID times will only be refunded or transferred to a new date in the event of a lockdown, whereby the wedding cannot go ahead and Paula’s services cannot be performed.
• Booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes, but not limited to, situations where the booking and/or wedding is cancelled due to personal relationship breakdown, financial, family situations and unforeseen circumstances including but not limited to: health pandemics, change in regulations, health warnings, weather events, travel limitations, venue closures.
• The booking fee must be paid to secure your wedding date. Please note that bookings are not guaranteed without confirmation by email and a booking fee. Unfortunately, Paula does not hold dates until such time that a booking is secured with a booking fee. The booking fee will be deducted from your final invoice.
• Your booking fee is your booking retainer, which means that Paula turns away all other jobs on the day of your wedding.
• Booking Fee – please use your name for reference when making payment.
• The client scheduling the booking will be responsible for full payment of all services in the event that other people in the wedding party/group do not pay their portion.
• All balances must be paid in cash on the morning of the wedding.
• Bookings are based on the information you provide so please be as accurate as possible. Following the booking fee payment, the invoice will not be reduced if a member of your party cancels. You are more than welcome to replace them, so you don’t miss out. You can add additional members to your booking once the date is secured, however this is subject to time availability on the day. Please get in touch with Paula if you wish to add an additional member.
• There is a minimum booking requirement of 5 people on Friday and Saturdays, accommodating up to 8 people.
• Early morning ceremonies will have an extra charge if the start time is before 6am. Upon booking your date, please ensure you include ceremony time and time you need to be ready by.
• An additional artist charge may apply if you have a large bridal party and need to be ready within a short time frame.

Trials

One trial for the Bride is included in your package. Complimentary trials take place at Paula’s home studio space in Homebush. We respectfully ask that no more than one extra guest accompanies the bride having the trial. Trials are set to 1.5-2 hours. Max 2 styles per booking.

Trials are scheduled on weekdays only, around Paula’s busy wedding schedule. Late appointments are available on Wednesday & Thursday’s.

Trial bookings can only be made up to 12 weeks prior to your preferred date.

Payment Terms

Timing is an essential part of Paula’s business, therefore adherence to booking times is critical to ensure delivery of the service you expect and will be strictly adhered to. To ensure a smooth run on the day, hairstyles are limited to 45 minute appointments for mums & guests, 75 minutes for the bride and 60 minutes for bridesmaids. These timings are achievable once members of the bridal party arrive with clean, dry hair. If any members of the bridal party arrive with wet hair (unless curly bride), an increment of $45 per 30 minutes will be added to the invoice on the day. If you require a blowdry pre styling this will be charged at an added cost of $50. Please notify Paula if you wish to add this service on as additional time will be required. Refer to the FAQ’s for hair prep advice. If you have a particular schedule for the day, please advise Paula as soon as possible so Paula can take this into account when allocating bookings.

Health and Safety

Paula Donohoe hair is not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to inform Paula at the booking process, if you or any of the bridal party have particular hypersensitivity to any hair products. Should you wish to bring your own products on the day, Paula is happy to use them to carry out the service.

To ensure the health of Paula, her tools and clients, Paula Donohoe Hair reserves the right to refuse service to clients displaying contagious viral symptoms. Paula must be informed as a matter of urgency, should any clients display such symptoms. This is a precaution taken in order to ensure non-contamination of Paula's kit, despite the fact that all items are sanitised between clients.

Covid Policy

To ensure the health and safety of my business, clientele, families and community, Paula Donohoe Hair will be following and adhering to the following guidelines. The following rules will be in place upon booking with Paula Donohoe Hair including all mobile services:

• 1 day prior to your booking, a COVID test must be taken to show a negative result to continue with your booking
• A face mask must be worn during the service
• We kindly ask if you are attending the studio for your trial, that the same rules apply as outlined above.
• All bridal bookings must ensure that anyone being serviced or present in the location of the service has followed the guidelines above.
• Paula will follow the same policy to ensure the safety of the bridal party.

Medical Disclaimer

By making a booking with Paula Donohoe Hair, you acknowledge and accept this policy and release Paula Donohoe from any liability if such a situation should arise.

Refunds

Paula Donohoe Hair does not offer refunds for any completed services at any stage. If you are in any way dissatisfied with the service provided, the onus is on the client to notify Paula whilst on location.

Travel

Travel to your getting ready location is included in your package. Should you change your getting ready location after the date is secured, additional fees may apply.

Parking must be provided and paid for by the client. As Paula carries a lot of heavy equipment, valet parking at all hotels is a must and will need to be arranged prior to the wedding day. If parking is not made available on-site, parking fees will be added to the remaining invoice.

Formal’s & Special Event hair

If you have a special event or formal coming up, come and visit me at my home studio in Homebush. Bookings can be made up to 12 weeks prior to your event. I travel for group bookings of 4+.

Clients acknowledge that Paula Donohoe Hair may use any photographs or images taken for portfolio, website and any promotions. Please advise Paula if you do not consent.

Other

In the rare event that Paula is unavailable to attend the appointment to provide hair services on the scheduled booking date, Paula will make every attempt to find a similar calibre artist for the client. In this situation only, will the booking fee be refunded or transferred to the new artist.

However, the limit of liability is a full refund of all monies already paid for the hair services for the affected date only.
