From a young age, I’ve just always had a love for doing hair.

If you could only see where it all started, from me obsessively braiding my doll’s hair, to my least finest hair moment to date, cutting chunks out of my sister’s hair. Just know, that’s out of my system now… sorry sis!

As a kid, I was relieved to have the answer to that age-old question most adults ask.

“What do you want to be when you grow up Paula?” For me, unlike many of my friends, that was an easy one to answer – because I was destined to be a hairdresser.

But of course, destiny isn’t always a straight line, and I took a few twists and turns on the road to my dream job. Can you believe I even took a massive detour and became a High School Maths teacher! But I never forgot those days where I spent hours playing hairdresser. And I knew deep down that creating beautiful hairstyles was the right path for me, so I took a leap of faith and went back to college to study styling.

Here’s what I know to be true.

You can’t fight destiny, and the best thing about my detours is knowing this is 100% where I’m meant to be. And hopefully that includes being by your side for this momentous time in YOUR DESTINY.
